Hi everyone! welcome to my first post of the week for March 2015.
The bomber jacket was originally designed during World War II to keep the pilots and his crew warm.
Airplanes back then did not have insulated cabins and temperatures could drop to as low as negative 50 degrees Celsius (negative 58 Fahrenheit). The classic bomber jacket was made out of sheepskin, but these days the jacket comes in all kinds of leather and fabrics.

There has been a recent resurgence in popularity from high street brands all the way up to luxury brands. A bomber jacket is usually worn casually with jeans or chinos but that doesn't mean you can't dress it up. you can easily pair a bomber jacket with an outfit meant for a blazer with great results.
