Hi Everyone! Not a lot of people know this but the original Perfecto leather jacket was introduced in 1928. it was designed and manufactured by Schott NYC and was the first jacket with the zipper, belt and buckle.
The Perfecto was worn by icons such as Marlon Brando in the 1953 movie The Wild One and the punk rock band the Ramones.

It was originally designed to be functional motorcycle clothing. It was meant to protect the wearer from the wind and any falls while riding. The Perfecto Jacket has transitioned into a fashion piece and is regularly seen during fashion weeks. A Perfecto styled jacket is either worn by models on the catwalk or the spectators.

For today's outfit I wanted to do something a bit different. The Perfecto is usually seen over something casual like a white T-Shirt or sweater.
I wanted to style the leather jacket on top of a blazer like you would with outerwear since it was a windy day. To dress the outfit down, I wore a Zara Chambray shirt with a knitted tie. I also wore navy GAP pants with my Monkstraps. Black leather Chelsea boots would have worked better colour wise, but I think that the monks work just as well with this outfit.
