Hockerty

I recently collaborated with Hockerty (@hockerty_official) and I thought this was a perfect opportunity to showcase the whole ordering process. I was tasked with creating a summer outfit that showcased colour. I ordered a shirt, a pair of trousers and a safari jacket.

For those of you unfamiliar with Hockerty, they are an e-commerce brand that offers a made to measure service for clothing, accessories and footwear. Their clothing is made in China while the shoes are crafted in Spain.

Ordering

The site is easy to navigate and the User Interface is quite responsive to any changes.
After you decide on the type of clothing you want, the first step is deciding on the fabric.
you are presented with a huge range of fabrics swatches. Once you choose a swatch, you can click on the information button to view a bigger view of the swatches and real life examples of the fabric.

The process of customising an item of clothing was quite straightforward. There were plenty of options for the jacket. You could choose from collar types, pockets types, different sleeves, belted or non belted options and fit options. Each option change gave you clear feedback via the 3d generated image on the side.

Measuring

This is usually the part where people struggle. The way measurements are taken can either make or break the final result. I am glad to say that Hockerty has clear video instructions how to measure and then use their extensive database of customer measurements to double check the measurement and offer alternative measurements based on averages if anything seems out of the ordinary. This takes out the guess work of probably the most frustrating step or ordering made-to-measure clothing online.

Profile created based on your height and weight compared to other people.

There is also the option to further change the measurements

After all the measurements are finalised, a profile is created and saved to your profile to make future orders quicker. A few weeks later the order arrives in the mail.

Final Result

For now I will end with photos of the finished garment and the swatches I used for the order.
Stay tuned for my first impressions that will be coming soon!
