A stroll in the Myrqvist Brannö 2

I’m pleased to share that I recently had the opportunity to collaborate with Myrqvist (@myrqvist). For those who may not know, Myrqvist is a Swedish shoe brand committed to creating timeless footwear at an accessible price point. Their shoes are primarily Goodyear welted and made in Portugal. They currently have a store in Stockholm and are set to open a new location on Jermyn Street in London, a prominent destination for menswear and accessories.

Brannö 2 in Dark brown suede

The Model I am wearing today is the Brannö 2 (dark brown suede) which is their most popular summer shoe model which features the updated rubber sole, new last and contrast leather piping for the darker colours. What better way to showcase them than by wearing them in the beautiful resort town of Peschiera del Garda?

Thoughts on the outfit

For this day, I decided to create an outfit centred around the colour brown. There's an old saying, "no brown in town," but today it was "all brown in town."

Given the scorching 35-degree Celsius weather with barely any wind, I had to stick to linen. I opted for linen trousers instead of shorts to protect myself from mosquitoes and the harsh sun, paired with a brown one-piece collar shirt (stay tuned, I'll be talking more about this shirt soon). To keep my head and face shaded, I wore an extra-wide Panama hat with a brown band. I also brought along my old Yashica film camera since I needed to finish my roll of film.

As soon as we arrived, we spotted a covered bridge and decided to take photos there in case the heat became too unbearable to get any work done.

Next, we made our way to Piazza della Serenissima, which, as the name implies, was surprisingly serene. Perhaps everyone else was staying out of the sun, wondering what we were doing out in the heat.

Despite the scorching temperature, we managed to get some wonderful photos.

First Impression of the Brannö 2

I tried on the shoes as soon as I arrived in Peschiera del Garda. My feet were swollen from the heat, and I was cautious about trying new shoes on a day with a lot of walking. Many people know that this can be a recipe for disaster and plenty of blisters.

However, as soon as I put on the shoes, I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable they were. The soles felt incredibly soft, and the unlined design meant they moulded to my feet very quickly.
Even after hours of walking, I did not experience any discomfort or blisters.

Yes, I found a tiny 'wall' to stand on 🤣

Soft landing with those new soles👌😂
