Hi everyone!
If you are following me on Instagram, you will also most likely know what Pitti Uomo is all about.
For those of you that aren’t following me on Instagram or are not aware of what Pitti Uomo is, let me give you a quick break down.
Pitti Uomo is a Menswear trade show, not a usual fashion week. the majority of the visitors are buyers, representatives for menswear companies, exhibitors or press and is not really open to the general public. Despite that all being said, there is a tradition where the attendants do not pull any stops when it comes to their dress code. Pitt Uomo has become a place where most of the latest menswear trends start. It is indeed a sight to behold.
Everyday you have major menswear publications and international news agencies reporting on the latest trends and style tips shown off at Pitti Uomo. It is this exact reason why despite people not following menswear or fashion they are still likely to know what Pitti Umo is.
PITTI UOMO DAY 1 OUTFIT
I initially thought that for the first day I would pull no stops and wear what I considered my best outfit.(I was later told that I should have worn my best outfit on the 2nd day. Oh well there is always Pitti Uomo 92). I built the outfit around a Orange windowpane blazer and a pair of white Chinos both purchased from Gagliardi. I also opted for a burgundy cardigan and green tie that picked up some of the green flecks in the sport coat. Since this January was colder than usual, I went with my Navy Double breasted top coat from Burberry.
To top the outfit off, I went with a burgundy Christie hat, my Cordovan boots from Crockett and Jones and a pair of Ray-ban Sunglasses.
