Summer is just around the corner!
It’s time to bring out the linen and summer weight wool (Lana Fresco) clothes.
Lana Fresco is extremely breathable and wicks moisture.
If you happen to find a semi lined jacket you will feel just how breathable the fabric is when you feel the cold breeze through the jacket. This makes it perfect for those hot days where sweat will unfortunately be unavoidable.
this navy jacket is an MTO sample piece by Herringbone Australia. At the time I was a bit reluctant about purchasing another navy coat since most of my jackets at that time were blue or navy.
I’ve had the jacket for a few years now and don’t regret purchasing it at all. It is one of my favourite staple jackets when I am travelling. I have even tracked down the same jacket in grey.
The reason men mostly wear navy or blue is because it is versatile and flatters most skin complexions. You can easily dress a navy jacket up or down depending on what trousers or shirt you might be wearing. Even just changing the shoes can dramatically change the outcome of an outfit.
For this outfit I decided on dressing around the navy jacket. I dressed the jacket up with a white dress shirt and white navy striped chinos. I wore a pair of Suede loafers for some texture and a straw hat with Navy piping. If you look closely, you can see that even my pocket square has a hint of navy.
