Gagliardi Green

Blazer: Gagliardi, Shirt: HE by MANGO, Pants: H&M, Shoes: Crockett and Jones, Sunglasses: Oscar Wylee

A hint of summer finally showed itself in London.
I’ve literally been waiting weeks to show off my Linen Green and Navy overcheck blazer from Gagliardi's SS 2015 collection.
I was hoping to show it off sooner but the weather has only recently been more forgiving.

For me linen is the perfect material for summer.
Others might not be a fan of linen but I find it gives the outfit more character and conveys an air of nonchalance. The wearer knows linen creases but wears it regardless.

I have to size up from my usual 36” to a 38” for Gagliardi’s slim fit.
The blazer is made from a cotton linen blend and has plenty of texture.
It comes with patch pockets and a notched collar and is buggy lined.

Boutonniere loop stem keeper

This might not mean a lot to most but I was pleasantly surprised to find a boutonniere loop stem keeper under the left lapel. Most brands do not bother with the loop and some don’t even make the lapel buttonhole functional. I generally don’t use boutonnieres but it’s nice to know it’s there if I ever want to wear one for a summer event or wedding.
The Jacket sleeves are slightly long but are luckily non functioning (easy to fix).

What’s you take on linen as a summer fabric?
Let me know in the comments section!

  1. You knocked it out of the park with this ensemble! The textured look of the Gagliardi blazer goes well with that pair of trousers and suede shoes. The contrast laces are also a brilliant touch! Cheers, Carlo!
